Interesting Backlinking Techniques From WordTracker

Wordtracker has an interesting ebook that I just purchased that is showing me some interesting ways to get backlinks to my website. But first I must mention for disclaimer purposes that I am an affiliate of this ebook to which I have purchased. In other words if you click on the link at the end of this article and purchase from Wordtracker I will make a commission for your purchase.

There are many ways to get quality backlinks to your website and today I am going to mention a few. The first technique I will mention is creating profiles in popular social sites.

                    Creating Profiles in Social Sites

Twitter,Facebook and Stumble upon are just a few of the places were you can develop quality backlinks to your website however they have to be set up properly. First set up an account at these social sites .Make sure when setting up your profile that you brand yourself by using your name in the the social sites url.In my opinion you should only follow people who have content similar to yours as this keeps things less confusing.

                    Submit Your Blogs To Dirctories

Blog directories like eZine articles is also a great way to acquire good backlinks to your site. When submitting articles and blogs to directories make sure you stay on topic do not be flip flopping from one subject to another and also do not spam these directories because your articles and blogs will not be published.

Linking To Authority Sites is powerful

Linking to authority is a very effective way to get backlinks to your website however it is not easily accomplished. Owners of authority sites have been around for awhile and they know who they will link too as their reputation is on the line and they do not want all their hard work to be damaged by linking to sites that will just end up causing harm to their websites.

                   Use Comments and reviews

You cannot go wrong with making comments on peoples articles or blogs. When you leave your valuable comments at the bottom of their article or blog which they in turn usually have a place to insert your website url. When you use a review of an article or blog on your site the owners will appreciate this and they probably will link back to you.

    Hey Kenneth,

I always like to start with how I got here (its fun for me). Went on my Twitter account, checked out a new follower, clicked on a comment left on her account, which was apparently Katie Freiling. Saw that you left a comment on her page, I clicked on your comment, which sent me here. Gottal love the Internet.
Anyway, great post. I highly recommend emphasis on the social media sites…this is a great way to build community. If you have not checked out Squidoo yet, I highly recommend it. It was started by Seth Godin…that should be enough incentive to check it out.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi Kenneth,
All good points on how to get backlinks and traffic to your sites. I’ve used most of these especially commenting on high ranking blogs. I’m not a big Facebook fan but should look at it again for the purposes you mention in your post.
    Thanks
